Enhancements and new Services

We are always working on new technology and service...

Data Integrity - PubNIX has grown over the year and in order to accommodate a larger need for disk space, we are testing a new server with redundant disks that will store all the user files.  Also we are planning to complete the installation of a redundant disk subsystem into all our servers.

Mail Server - We are testing a beta version of our new mail server.  This new design will enable our clients to access their emails via a web site interface, the filtering of SPAM using fingerprinting, blacklisting and filtering technologies, the filtering of E-Mails containing Virus using [Network Associate / McAfee] anti-virus software.

Web Servers - A more efficient web server will be installed with more security, better scripting tools, and the Frontpage 2002 Extensions.

Security - Security will be enhanced by the use of detection technologies, which will enable us to receive real-time reports on scanning, intrusion attempts and denial of service attacks.  Although PubNIX core servers security has yet to be broken, those reports will serve us to better monitor abnormal activities.

This new architecture will be roll into production as soon as all the tests are completed and the architecture measure up to the level of service you expect from PubNIX.

Connectivity - In addition of Dialup, DSL 1.1 and 3Mbps, ADSL 2.4 to 4Mbps, connectivity, we are now able to provide Satellite services for remote areas.

Web Site - We validated and updated the site, which now include the price list.  Also we are thinking about a brand new look, if you have ideas or propositions contact info@pubnix.net

Notice of unscheduled service interruption

On Wednesday, August 21, 2002 at approximately 19:30h, one of our web server experienced a power supply failure. Some web sites where not accessible for 2 hours.

We now have spare power supplies on site.

PubNIX regrets any inconvenience that this outage may have caused.
