How to setup your own WWW page on PubNIX

Create your page(s) using either a Windows based HTML editor such as Microsoft Frontpage , Hotdog , Netscape Communicator , or a macro package for your favorite word processor.
Upload your page(s) including any graphic images into your account's public_html directory.
1. Connect to using either your publishing tool's built-in FTP mode or the PubNIX Personal FTP Service option in WinFTP.
2. The hostname is: shell.pubnix.net, and you will need to specifiy your username and password.
3. Change directory to your public_html directory.
4. Send the files.
Make sure that your initial file is called index.html, and that it is placed in your public_html directory.
Test your creation by entering the URL http://www.pubnix.net/~username in your WEB browser.

We do not support Microsoft's front page extensions on www.pubnix.net.
A program is run every hour to automatically generate the list of user's home pages.
In the event that you DO NOT want your page to appear on this list, place an empty file called .nolist in your public_html directory.
You may place a custom description for your page that will appear instead of your name in the list of user's home pages. You can do this by placing a file called .description in your public_html directory containting a short one line description of your WWW page.
